The Brief
The client experienced spontaneous cracking and breakage of oversize glazing units to the frontage of the car dealership. As well as being oversize the existing glazing units have solar control film applied to minimize glare for the comfort of the dealership staff. We provided upgraded glass specification taking into account the unit size and location leading to thermal variations across the day.
Implementation
Due to the size of the units the works were carried out using powered manipulation machinery methods together with mobile access towers. To finish the installation, a high performance solar control film was installed for the comfort of the showroom staff.
